Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School which delivers the National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. The Post:
Teacher of Psychology with Sociology
From September 2018 we are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Psychology with Sociology to join the College.
The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful. In 2017 the GCSE results were 100% A*-C pass rate is a first for the department for the new linear exams. Interestingly the A*- A 70.6% was slightly up on last year’s 67% A*-A, and there were 9.5% more A* this year (7 in total). Furthermore, the grade comparisons to other AQA centres is particularly impressive.
To be considered for this position you will have the following:
A certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge and experience of leading a high performing teaching team.
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level or equivalent. We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
At least 1 year experience of the National Curriculum for England. However we will consider applications for NQT’s.
B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
The successful applicant will possess the willingness to commit to Extra Curricular activities.
