About the role: We are looking to recruit experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to help support SEN schools across the Leicestershire area. This role is ideal for those who have a passion for helping children with learning difficulties.
You will be working on a supply basis for a number of schools that are partnered with ABC Teachers. There is availability for both full time and part time requirements to suit your needs and this would be a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience for those considering a career in teaching.
With a multitude of schools and nurseries requiring Teaching Assistants, we cover a range of SEN needs of which SLD, PMLD and ASD are most common.

We require you to:
Have a school based reference within the last 2 years
Possess Level 2 Teaching Assistant NVQ minimum
Have Experience assisting children with SEN in either education or a care based role.
Show excellent communication skills
Ensure that every pupils needs are met and that you have the ability to adapt when needed
Have the ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations
Experience in Personal Care would also be valuable to the roles, though not a requirement.

What to do next:
To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you.
We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
