Job overview

An opportunity has arisen within the academy for two Raising Achievement Mentors providing intensive curricular support in a range of subjects with a priority on English, Mathematics and Science to ensure targeted students achieve throughout the curriculum. This position would suit a recent graduate or someone seeking a career in education. 


You will be responsible for:

• Supporting identified students to access the academic curriculum in the most effective way, appropriate to their needs and understanding. 


• Assisting and supporting the delivery of learning and teaching. 


• Developing and recording individualised Action Plans for students who have been identified as requiring targeted support

• Developing suitable interventions and resources under the direction of a subject leader. 

• Maintaining regular contact with the families/carers


You will need to be: 

• Able to work independently and without direct supervision

• Reflective and solution focused

• Calm under pressure

• Supportive, patient and non-judgmental
