Barnhill Community High School is a high-performing, oversubscribed school in West London.  Our 2019 academic outcomes place us well within the top 5% of the country.  We are seeking to appoint a dedicated colleague to join our successful school.

The school operates a sophisticated curriculum that is tailored to individual students’ needs.  Student outcomes are very high in core and EBacc areas, with Progress 8 scores of +0.50 in English, +1.05 in maths and +0.89 in EBacc.  Our mathematics outcomes are in the top 50 schools in England.  Our Sixth form has grown considerably during the last two years and is the highest achieving in the Borough and in the top 6% for outcomes in the country.

Our most recent Challenge Partners review found the school to be ‘leading in all categories’.  We are also members of the Stand Out Schools programme.  Pastoral care is of a high standard with very high standards of school discipline and student engagement.  Parental engagement is high with 85% of parents visiting the school for parents’ evenings and the like.

This post would suit a strategic thinker with a strong work ethic and dedication to improving the lives of all students.  We welcome applications from experienced middle leaders and those new to middle leadership.  We have an excellent track record of developing and nurturing talent - with many younger members of staff filling key positions.

Barnhill Community High School is part of the Middlesex Learning Partnership, an ambitious cross-phase Multi-Academy Trust. We are ambitious for the students of Hillingdon, ambitious for their futures, ambitious for their achievements and ambitious for their personal development. Students are at the heart of everything we do, and as such we are driven to achieve ever higher standards.

In line with the ethos of the best schools in the country, we are always trying harder, pushing the boundaries of learning and encouraging both students and staff to strive to reach their full potential. We believe in the transformative power of education to Build Brighter Futures and aim to foster within our communities a lifelong thirst for learning and improvement, so vital in a rapidly changing world. Our mission is to ensure that students recognise the importance of learning and are equipped to flourish in the world of the future and that staff are proud of the priceless contributions they make to student’s lives.

We are now looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Raising Standards Leader to lead KS4 outcomes and raise achievement within the new government framework.

We believe in the power of learning to transform the lives of children and young people and to prepare them well for their futures.  We believe that all have great talents and potential, and that we need to provide an outstanding experience so that this can be realised.  We are also committed to the broader community.  Our Trust sits at the heart of the local area, and has a vital role to play as a centre for education, well-being and community cohesion.

Our staff benefit from a well-being scheme, cycle scheme and on-site gym facilities.
