The Post: Reception Teacher - Latvia
We are now seeking to appoint an inspiring and innovative person for our new King’s School in Riga, Latvia. The school has opened its doors in August 2017 and is the first British school in the country. Occupying 20,000 m2 site within the Saliena development in Babites, the school will provide the local and surrounding communities with the opportunity to benefit from a quality British education, the hallmark of King’s Group.
In the first year the school we are operating as an Infant and Primary school.
The school has opened with pupils age 3 (Nursery) to age 10 (Year 5). As the school grows it will eventually educate pupils from Nursery to Year 13 (age 18).
The curriculum of the new school is based on the English National Curriculum and allows pupils to study a wide range of subjects, including also those covering the Latvian Language, History and Geography. These studies will culminate in students undertaking IGCSE, and A Level examinations, which will prepare them to be able to enter the best universities in the world.
The Reception Teacher will assist all pupils to develop emotional security, self-belief and mature social skills, assist all children to develop a love of learning and an excitement about coming to school each day and recognize the unique child and plan for their development using both the indoor and out-door curriculum
