King Edward VII is seeking to appoint an experienced person to provide a reception service and administrative support in our busy Upper School office. The successful candidate will be required to provide an efficient reception service for the School and be the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors. They will also be required to support the Administration team by undertaking general administrative tasks including word-processing, data entry, filing, mail distribution and photocopying.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as interaction with parents, visitors, students and staff will be a daily part of the role. They should also possess an ability to work flexibly and under pressure. Applicants must have a good working knowledge of the whole suite of Microsoft Office software and be comfortable using Word and Excel extensively. We use SIMS as our main management information software and whilst familiarity with this piece of software is not essential the successful candidate must be able to learn quickly as they will use this central source of management information on a daily basis.
