Regional System Leader – Secondary and Post 16 education (Midlands)
SALARY: Regional role: £50,000 – £65,000
LOCATION: Based in the Midlands region with frequent travel between academies within the region.
REPORTING TO: Regional Education Director and Deputy Regional Education Director
CONTRACT: 37.5 hours a week
The purpose of this role as System Leader Secondary and Post 16 education is to support the Regional Education Director (RED) in leading the delivery of outstanding education across the 11 to 18 academy provision in the Midlands region. A can do attitude is essential as well as flexibility to support the business. You will have excellent inter-personal skills enabling you to work with all colleagues professionally, enthusiastically and with relentless attention to detail and accuracy.
We are seeking to appoint a high performing, secondary and post 16 education expert with a proven track record in securing sustainable improvement and high quality education for students from year 7 to year 13. You will possess exceptional leadership skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with Headteachers and senior leaders in the secondary academies in the Midlands region, offering good support and challenge to develop outstanding educational practice.
You will have a robust, well rounded understanding of secondary and post 16 curricula, teaching and assessment and qualifications, developed through your extensive practice as well as contemporary research. You will possess a secure understanding of national policy, new specifications and qualifications such as T-Levels and be able to develop good relationships with regional stakeholders for apprenticeship provision.
You will be able to demonstrate an unrelenting focus on making sure that high quality curriculum planning, teaching and learning enables all students to succeed and secure the education needed to excel both during and by the end of key stage 4 and 5.
