Due to relocation a fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in an outstanding department. We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dynamic Religious Studies, who can also assist the Head of Theology in planning the strategy for RE in faith school. The role is for September 2024. This would suit someone who is looking to develop their career although we would consider applications from outstanding newcomers to the profession.

The role is to support the Head of Theology in the College. RE is a fundamental part of College, with a department of 4 specialist RE teachers. RE is taught across all key stages from KS3 to KS5. It is a core subject for all students at KS4 and as well as A Level all 6th form students have core (non-exam) RE on their timetables. The ability to teach A Level RE would be desirable.

The successful candidate would be a passionate and dynamic teacher of Religious Studies and committed to raising the achievements of our students. You will be joining a strong, enthusiastic, subject specialist team with a record of accomplishment of success:

  • A Peter Jones Business Academy (part of a select group of schools nationally) providing exclusive resources, courses and competitions that enable all our students throughout the College to develop skills needed to be successful in their future lives.

As a Catholic Lasallian College Religious Studies is an important subject at key stages 3-4 and popular at KS5. The successful applicant will be passionate about the subject, be well organised and willing to go the “extra mile” to ensure pupils achieve.
