Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Religious Education to join one of our partnered Secondary schools in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This will be a temporary supply contract, commencing in October 2018 and will run through to July 2019. The desired Teacher of Religious Education will be teaching to Key stage 3, 4 and 5 – a fantastic opportunity for an NQT/RQT looking to expand their experience.
The position is full-time Monday to Friday, with staff meetings taking place on a Monday evening. Planning and marking responsibilities will be included in the role, however a scheme of work will be provided.
This is a fantastic, popular state school educating pupils from 11 - 18. The school is well run, and boast a caring, familial feel school atmosphere. The school is well disciplined, and students know what is expected of them. The majority of students who attend this school go on to achieve their higher education goals.
The desired Religious Teacher will be supported by a supportive and well-structured senior management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. The desired Teacher will be a Religious Education specialist looking to take the next step in their career.
To be considered for the position of Religious Education Teacher you must:
- Have experience teaching Secondary RE to at least GCSE Level (Preferably A-Level).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Teachers
- Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
