About International School of Geneva (La Grande Boissiere, The Foundation)

Founded in 1924 as the first ever international school, the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) is today one of the largest and most prestigious learning institutes of its kind. There are around 4,450 students on the school roll, based on three different campuses in the Vaud and Geneva regions. This is one of the most cosmopolitan schools on earth, boasting 140 nationalities among students and staff, speaking 80 languages. In total, there are over 500 members of pedagogical staff at Ecolint, all with a clear passion for international education. The school is proud of its academic excellence, and has a 96% International Baccalaureate pass rate.

Part of Ecolint since 1929, La Grande Boissière campus is centrally located in Geneva in pleasant wooded grounds and is easily accessible via public transport. The campus blends a charming mix of old and new buildings, including an 18th century château and a new, ultra-modern Arts centre providing exceptional facilities for the creative, visual and performing arts. La Châtaigneraie campus is in Founex, in the Canton de Vaud, just 20 minutes from Geneva. Set among farmland, overlooking Lake Geneva, the campus has stunning views of the Alps and the Jura. Campus des Nations comprises two sites a short distance apart and both in the heart of Geneva’s international quarter. Easily accessible by public transport from both the city centre and major residential areas, the school is in close proximity to the UN, the ILO, the WHO and the American Mission, with many of their employees’ children among a extremely diverse student body.
