Reprographics Technician

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the Reprographics Team.

In this role, you will support the IT Team in providing an efficient Reprographics service for the Academy. You will contribute to the ethos of the Academy through the stated aims, objectives and policies.

To be successful, you will possess good personal and communication skills, be systematic and be keen to work in an educational environment. The Academy is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated individual who is committed to ensuring that all students make progress. Experience of working with or relating to young people and a commitment to their welfare, education and development is also highly desirable.

Your main duties will include:

• Providing an efficient service for copying and resource duplication
• Helping the Graphics Team with stationery and the lamination of posters
• Paper and resource ordering
• Monitoring copying and costs across faculties
• Liaising with third parties over suppliers and reprographics machines

About Us

Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11 to 18. In 2015, de Ferrers became the first school of The de Ferrers Trust (a Multi Academy Trust).

Excellent funding has allowed the Academy to enhance resources and equipment and widely promote the use of new technologies. There are digital projectors and flat-screen TVs in all curriculum areas, with over 500 computers and laptops across all sites.

From October 2012, the Academy became the first school in Staffordshire to provide all sixth form students with access to a personal one-to-one iPad for use in lessons and at home. Currently, all students in Years 9 to 13 (Trent and Sixth Form Campuses) have their own iPad, as well as all teaching staff and most support staff.
