Resident Assistant Houseparents
Monmouth School for Girls seeks to appoint two resident Assistant Houseparents or a couple for our Sixth Form boarding house Augusta House, home to our girls aged 16 - 18 years, from mid-February 2018 (start date negotiable). The successful candidates will be passionate about boarding and possess a warm personality, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the welfare of the girls in their care. A sense of humour and a flexible approach are vital for this stimulating and rewarding position. This is a non-teaching post and relevant pastoral experience is essential.
A contribution to the wider life of a day and boarding school, both in pastoral and extra-curricular activities, is expected. We offer a friendly and supportive working environment. Monmouth School For Girls is an independent day and boarding school based in Monmouthshire for girls aged 11-18.
The school was founded in 1892 and is part of the family of Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, which owe their existence to William Jones, a liveryman of the Haberdashers’ Company, who bequeathed funds to establish a school in 1614. Entry to the school is selective and, where possible, pupils are interviewed.
