The Academy of St. Nicholas is a joint faith 11-18 Academy with Christian Values at its heart. The Academy is fortunate to occupy modern and unique buildings which inspire both staff and students.   The Academy of St. Nicholas is focussed on delivering the highest quality learning environment for its students and is committed to ensuring that every student makes the most of their potential providing the best possible student support and the most appropriate and innovative curriculum.  Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and ambitious Room for Improvement Manager, who will be responsible for coordinating the provision for those students identified as requiring alternative provision in the Room for Improvement. Students are referred to the Room for Improvement primarily as a result of behaviour issues, primarily as an alternative to a fixed term exclusion, and the post holder will therefore be responsible for supporting these students to improve their behaviour, and ensuring they continue to make progress.   The Academy benefits from its membership of the All Saints Multi Academy Trust, a unique Joint Faith Multi Academy Trust in Liverpool.  The Trust has a proven track record in developing leaders and ensuring staff reach their full potential and career aspirations through a comprehensive programme of CPD and career progression opportunities.  Leaders within the Trust benefit from access to the highest quality local and national training programmes, as well as peer to peer support and professional mentoring within the Trust.

We are determined that the successful candidate will be able to:

• Promote the Christian ethos of the Academy.

• Manage and co-ordinate provision for those students identified as requiring alternative provision.

• Provide a strong presence where students are engaged and make progress.

• Establish positive and supportive relationships with the relevant staff and students.

• Be confident in behaviour management, and in supporting students to improve their behaviour.

• Have a passion for making a difference for young people in the city of Liverpool.
