Job overview

Woodlands Primary Academy are looking for a suitable candidate for an exciting new post of Safeguarding and Pastoral Officer, working under the guidance of the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the wider Leadership Team to:

  • implement safeguarding and child protection policies, procedures and guidance.
  • address child protection concerns including the co-ordination of referrals, dealing with cases and external agencies, attending meetings, writing safeguarding reports and referrals
  • address issues surrounding pupil attendance and punctuality management including home visits, parental meetings, writing reports and referrals and presenting data to ensure the school achieves excellent attendance
  • work with families to promote parental engagement and organise parent/family support classes and initiatives as agreed with the Principal

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.


Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Term: Part-time (32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 days)

FTE Salary £22,571 - £24,920

Actual Salary £17,265 - £19,062
