We have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff at Outwood Academy Redcar.

You will have experience of working with children and/or families within a safeguarding and child protection environment. A committed team worker, you will carry a caseload and work on your own initiative. Time management skills are essential given the variety of this challenging, yet rewarding role. Previous experience of working with children and families and with other agencies and recent experience of social services work in child protection is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual, you must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. The purpose of this post is to fulfil our responsibility in the safeguarding of our students and enhance the life chances of our students.

We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
