Surrey Maths School (SuMS) is a specialist 16-19 Maths School opening in Guildford in September 2024 to serve students across the South East, aiming to become a hub of excellence for the teaching of the mathematical sciences. 

We are seeking to appoint a well-organised, efficient and enthusiastic school administrator. As a brand-new school we are in phase of growth and development. This role will suit someone excited to be part of a new school and are happy to take on a wide variety of duties and looking to develop their own skills as the role develops over the

The successful applicant should have excellent organisational and time-management skills and the ability to prioritise their workload to ensure that deadlines are met, as well as to work autonomously and take initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential requirements. You will provide a friendly, welcoming, first point of contact for the team and you will have the ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines,

Skills and attributes we are looking for:

·        An experienced and effective administrator

·        Effective interpersonal and communication skills

·        Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with young people and adults

·        Ability to use initiative and respond the changing situations and commitments

·        Ability to work independently and problem solve

The post holder will be required to work between 30 hours per week over 41 weeks per year working Monday to Friday.
