Tidemill Academy is a National Teaching School with an outstanding reputation for being creative, innovative and at the leading edge of educational reform. An outstanding two-form entry primary school, we are situated next to the busy and diverse Deptford High Street, only 6 minutes from London Bridge by train, 11 minutes from Cannon Street and accessible by DLR. Our school is co-located with the golden Deptford Lounge building, which we moved into in January 2012 as part of a £29 million Giffin Street Regeneration programme.  This development means that we have great sports facilities, professional stage lighting and state of the art technology, classrooms & learning environments.

Tidemill is a haven where children from all backgrounds flourish. Our children not only achieve excellent results – they sleep over at the Science Museum, surf in Devon, compete at the London Youth Games, are djembe drummers, make their own branded chocolate, exhibit at art galleries, set up blogs and perform Shakespeare at the theatre!  And they do all this in our award winning building with exceptional facilities.

Our current School Business Manager was one of the first primary school business managers in Lewisham when she joined in 2005, and has been involved in a number of key projects and initiatives over the years, including the building of the new school and academy conversion.  After a tenure of nearly 15 years she is moving out of London and we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented School Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team.

Our children deserve the very best and, even in these tough times, we are trying to minimise any cuts to our provision. You will need to be committed, creative, commercially-minded and astute.  Do you think you have the talent and dedication to make the difference for a very deserving community?

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged so you can meet the pupils and staff and see our fantastic facilities. Visit times have been scheduled for Monday 8th July @ 4.45pm or Wednesday 10th July @ 5.15pm (45 minute duration).
