Now is the time to join us as a Business Manager to assist within our Education services!

Arden College are recruiting for a Business Manager. We are looking for a fantastic relationship builder who can manage all the financial aspects of the College and Residential service including business development, assist senior management to improve the financial performance of the college with day to day financial reporting and management functions as designated. At the heart of the role, you must be able to provide efficient, professional and effective administrative support ensuring the Company’s human resources policies and procedures are used appropriately in relation to the employment of staff at college and in the care settings. ​​​​​​​

Arden College is situated across two sites in Southport, a vibrant and cultured town on the west coast of Lancashire. The college makes the most of its position and much of the extended college curriculum is located within the community and vocational settings within the region.

We are a specialist college for students aged 16-25 with autism, complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. With some of the students live in one of our eight residential homes in the local community. Individual College programmes of day or residential support are available as either 38 of 52 week placements. The college and residential provision work in line with the Preparing for Adulthood Agenda in promoting the health needs, independence skills, employability and community inclusion of the students.

Resilience – We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged. 

Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Positive working relationships, good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.

Organisation – Organisation is key to ensure the safe management of both employees and resources as well as leading and directing staff through inspection processes.

Caring – Our young people require the best care we can offer.  If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.

Attentive – No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital

The college is a co-educational residential and day specialist college for students aged 16-25 years with learning difficulties and disabilities and or behavioural and social difficulties. Individual College programmes of day or residential support are available as either 38 or 52 week placements for up to a three year period and are subject to regular reviews to ensure student needs are being met. The focus is to ensure that learners are prepared for independent adult life as much as is possible
