About the Job: 

Trinity Catholic High School wishes to appoint a School Chaplain to support the spiritual and liturgical life of the school. The successful applicant must be a practicing Roman Catholic and should have relevant experience or qualification (Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies) that suits a chaplaincy role in the Catholic Church. The successful applicant must also be organised, flexible and computer literate. The role of the Chaplain is central to the ethos of the school and is uniquely important in providing Catholic Leadership and Pastoral Support to the whole school community of students, staff and occasionally parents. In particular, the Chaplain will lead our Catholic community in worship and prayer, drawing on a breadth of Catholic traditions, to provide guidance and encouragement in the pursuit of deepening our faith.

Trinity Catholic High School is a denominational, co-educational secondary school in Woodford Green, Essex. There are 1660 students on the school roll, 464 of whom are in the sixth form.

Founded in 1976, the school’s motto is "In Christ We Shall Flourish". Its most famous former student is Olympic gold-medal-winning athlete Christine Ohuruogu.

Values and vision

Religious teachings play an integral part in the Trinity Catholic High School ethos. The school operates on the belief that all are sons and daughters of God, equal in dignity to each other. This establishes a cohesive and tolerant community, in which students and staff alike are dedicated and resourceful in achieving their aims.

The secondary school also prides itself on being a multi-cultural, international school. Extra-curricular trips have included French and Spanish film days at the British Film Institute in London, ski trips to Colorado and Austria, and music tours of Holland.
