Job overview

Remit: To take a pride in cleaning all areas of the school building under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor and/or the Facilities Manager.

Hours: Monday - Friday 6pm-8pm , 52 weeks per year.

5 weeks holiday per annum

Role & Responsibilities

1) To thoroughly clean the tables, chairs, shelves, work surfaces, computers, floors and inside windows of the allocated areas of the School and areas as directed by supervisors.

2) To learn how to use all cleaning equipment and products effectively and appropriately.

3) To report any Health & Safety issues identified to the Facilities and Health and Safety Manager and log in the Maintenance Book in the School Offices.

4) To undertake any other duties as directed by the Caretaker and Facilities and Health and Safety Manager.

5) To ensure the safety of all children, young people and vulnerable adults within the School. To complete the annual online Safeguarding training and understand and comply with all Safeguarding policies and practices.

6) To attend annual COSHH training as directed by the Facilities and Health and Safety Manager.

7) To inform the supervisor/facilities manager of any sickness by 10am at the latest.

8) To report to the supervisor if duties are completed prior to the end of a shift so additional tasks can be assigned in this time.

9) To attend additional days upon request (Open Day/Carroty Wood).

10) To be vigilant in reporting all matters relating to health and safety and to take responsibility for your own personal health and safety.

11) To immediately report any safeguarding concerns to your supervisor.
