About the Role

We have an opportunity for a School Cleaner to join our inclusive and committed community at St Mary's Primary, Crookwell. 

The Cleaner position includes undertaking cleaning and general school maintenance tasks. The Cleaner is to ensure that the learning and working environment for students and staff is maintained to an acceptable standard in the day-to-day running of the school.

Essential Criteria

  • A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the school in the wider community;

  • Effective interpersonal skills to be able to relate and communicate with members of the school community;

  • The ability to  apply knowledge and skills to a range of tasks and roles;

  • Initiative and be able to self-manage their time and workload;

  • The ability to follow routines, methods and procedures of the school and use their discretion in the selection of equipment and how tasks are completed safely and effectively;

  • Routine supervision and advice provided but must have the ability to work independently and responsibly in the role.
