Marsden Junior School

School Cook

Permanent, 30 hours per week 8am-2.30pm, term time plus 5 days

Salary - £16,635 per annum (FTE £23,500)

To start – Immediately

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate School Cook to join the catering team at Marsden Junior School. Across the Trust we strive to be the best we can be in everything we do and that includes our catering facilities. We are incredibly proud of the catering service that we offer to our students and staff.

Our catering team produces a wide variety of meals, snacks and desserts made from locally sourced food and ingredients which are freshly prepared every day. Our Academy Catering teams have received high praise for the food produced and have won awards in recognition of the high standard of healthy food prepared for our students.

We are looking to recruit a School Cook who is passionate about both great food and great service. Someone who will support the team in our kitchen at Marsden and strictly uphold good working practices to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a high-volume food business and will be used to cooking with fresh ingredients. Alternatively, you might simply have a strong passion for cooking and feel that you could add value in a role like this. Either way you will need to enjoy working in a busy kitchen and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to be very much hands on. A qualification to NVQ level 3 standard would be desirable but not essential.

If you are interested in applying for this role, please complete our application form, as a Word Document and return to Hayley Drummond, Recruitment Officer at h.drummond@greatheightstrust.org.uk

Closing date: Tuesday 14th May

Interviews: TBC
