Reports to: Strategic Manager, Barnet Partnership for School Sport
Salary: Salary Point Range 17 – 20
Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (Initial fixed term contract until March
2023)
Flexible working hours will be considered.
The Barnet Partnership for School Sport is looking to appoint a School Games Organiser
to start in Summer 2022. This position will be to develop the successful PE, School Sport
and Physical Activity programme offered to all Barnet schools.
The post holder will need to have an excellent understanding of schools, the
Government’s agenda for sport and competition (School Games) along with a clear
vision and commitment to increasing participation in sport for children and young
people. Some knowledge of Barnet will be preferable.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of their own schools within the
Barnet Partnership for School Sport (BPSS) along with a team of dynamic School Games
Organisers. Each post holder will also have a lead project role across the whole borough.
The Barnet Partnership for School Sport is a membership organisation that was
established as a mechanism to retain the outcomes achieved by the previous 4 School
Sport Partnerships in Barnet. BPSS engages over 100 Barnet schools providing events,
competitions, engagement programmes and leadership opportunities, with a generic
outcome of increasing participation in school sport and physical activity at all levels.

Aims
We work in partnership to:
1. Increase participation in high quality sport and physical activity
2. Work and communicate effectively with schools to meet need and fulfill
expectations related to participation in sport and physical activity, widening
access to sport and physical activity among low participation groups
3. Support the development of progression pathways to ensure individuals reach
their full potential
4. Provide support and advice to maximise opportunities for Barnet through the
Government’s agenda for school sport and competition (School Games)
