School Patrol Officer
We require a well-organised, proactive, flexible individual for the post of School Patrol Officer.
The school patrol officer will walk the school site throughout the day to support good behaviour and a safe environment. They will work with staff and students to help maintain an environment conducive to learning, and to become an integral part of our positive, vibrant, diverse school community.
Core responsibilities will include:
• Motivating and relating well with students, in particular those identified as vulnerable, at risk of exclusion or involved in anti-social behaviour
• Providing a visible, supportive and accessible presence around the school site
• Patrolling the school grounds to ensure the school is secure
• Responding to Patrol calls from teachers to escort students to another classroom or to welfare if required
• Checking CCTV to investigate incidents of vandalism or poor behaviour
• Providing First Aid if required
• Any task commensurate with the position as required by line manager

The school and its facilities
Brentside High School is a large 11-19 mixed comprehensive school serving a culturally and socially diverse community in Ealing. We are all very proud of our school and the reflective learning ethos within it.
The school is popular and oversubscribed and successfully serves the needs of our local community. Our students are complimentary about the school and also very proud to be part of our learning community.
We benefit from excellent resources. The school building was opened in 2004 and, due to a recent expansion, an additional building opened in April 2018. All classrooms are fitted with at least one high specification PC and interactive whiteboard or monitor. We have an excellent sports hall, 3G Astro Turf football pitch, a state of the art Fitness Suite (available out of hours to staff!) and free car parking for 60 vehicles. We are also well served by public transport and there are excellent cycle routes in the area
Awards
In addition to holding Arts College Status, Brentside is the only Ealing school to hold both of the prestigious Charter Mark and Artsmark Gold awards. The school is affiliated to the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and is also an Investor in People.
