About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Laboratory Officer to join our vibrant and comprehensive team at St Mary MacKillop College. 

Personal and professional skills

  • A passion and keen interest for working within an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Windows desktop computing environment, including the Microsoft Office suite as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook; database software applications; competent keyboard and typing skills and a demonstrated ability to adapt to the use of new software packages.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.

  • Promote, support and work to the St Mary of the Cross Mackillop and Josephite Christian ethos.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage others with a courteous, calm and welcoming demeanour.

**Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration – ACT is a mandatory requirement.

**Level 5.1 requires knowledge or training equivalent to either a diploma or certificate IV with relevant work experience, a certificate III with extensive work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
