Job overview

Looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join a highly successful and supportive dept. Applications welcome from experienced and NQTs able to teach science from Yr 7 - Yr 13, with the ability to offer A level in either biology, chemistry or physics.

The department is an outward facing department which offers many enrichment opportunities. It has a well-established and very successful STEM programme – students benefit from visits to universities and from visits to the school enabling them to explore a range of careers in the Sciences. It supports visits from other education systems both nationally and internationally.  It is heavily involved in Initial Teacher Education – supporting all routes including School Direct and Researchers in Schools.

Lampton School is a mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school that converted to Academy status in September 2010. We are a National Teaching School and have IIP Status. Lampton School was judged as "outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted in May 2008 and again in May 2013. It was also featured in the Ofsted report 'Twelve outstanding secondary schools - Excelling against the odds'. The school is a Lead member of Challenge Partnership – a national collaborative network of 240 schools committed to improving the quality of education across our network. It is also the lead school in a School Direct alliance – and heavily committed to the training of new teachers.
