This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Science Team as part of Discovery Zone at Walkden High School. Walkden High School is a wonderful community; brilliant, able, hard-working students, committed staff, and amazingly supportive parents.

We need to work together to get the best possible outcomes for all our young people, but especially our most able and our disadvantaged pupils. You will join our Science team and will play a key part in not only gaining excellent results for our students, but also in enthusing them about Science.
The successful applicant will be required to teach all abilities from Year 7 to GCSE.
The 2018 results had 53% of pupils left with 2 or more grades 9-4 on the sciences, 86% achieving grades 9-4 in Biology, 83% achieving grades 9-4 in Chemistry and 77% achieving grades 9-4 in Physics.
