Job overview

International Education Partnership, IEP, is an education group that owns a number of private schools in Spain where the pupil is at the heart of the learning process. Our schools are characterised by active learning methods which encourage discovery, critical thinking, curiosity and independence.

We are currently recruiting a Science teacher for the next academic year, 2021-2022. The school offers a private, bilingual education with small class sizes and excellent facilities. We are looking for a dynamic professional who will be the leader teacher for Biology & Geology and Physics and Chemistry classes in our secondary school (ages 11- 16). The school is looking to build on a successful Science program in English that our students start in Primary. You can have a real impact on the lives of the young people as well as developing your skills to be the best that you can be.

The school has a small, friendly environment and pupils enjoy coming to school because they feel safe and they learn a lot. Pupils get on well with their teachers and enjoy good relationships. Pupils know that there is always someone who will help them if they have any concerns.

The key skills we are looking for:

A fully trained Science teacher with QTS. The ideal candidate should be able to oversee planning of a well-sequenced curriculum content to promote pupil progress.

Excellent behaviour management which allows the students to feel safe and to work to the best of their ability.

Able to work effectively with the Secondary school team.

Able to track pupil progress, identifying under and high achieving students and implementing intervention to enable students of all abilities and learning styles to unlock their potential.

Provide feedback and communicate effectively with parents and pupils. Knowledge of Spanish is advantageous although not necessary as help will be provided.
