Valentines High School is a highly successful mixed 11-19 school enjoying Leading Edge Status. In September 2011 Valentines became one of the first 100 Teaching Schools in the Country. Ofsted has judged the school to be ‘Outstanding in all categories’. Public examination results are excellent, placing Valentines in the top 100 schools for progress in the UK. We have a large and thriving sixth form, (nearly 400 students). Valentines is known for its high standards of pupil behaviour and orderly learning environment. The school is centrally located in the London Borough of Redbridge, with very good transport links to central and outer London.

                                                                        

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Technician who will provide exemplary support to our Science department. The post offers an exceptional opportunity for a Technician who wishes achieve further progression in the future. We require a candidate interested in and knowledgeable about science across the board in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. 

The candidate will join the Science Department, working with and supporting class teachers in science classes from Year 7 to A-level, carrying out relevant duties required by the Senior Technician or Class Teachers.

Valentines High School is a non-denominational, co-educational secondary school with sixth form in Ilford, Essex. Its motto translates from Latin as "in harmony, achieving excellence". There are approximately 1,291 students on the school roll. The school is proud of its diversity, with 78% of pupils speaking English as an additional language. 

Valentines High School has been a Teaching School since 2011. This status allows the school to offer professional development to other schools in the area, as well as providing high-quality training for its own staff. Founded in 1901, the school opened a new sixth-form centre in 2007.
