The Governors are seeking to appoint a Science Technician in this ambitious, forward thinking school.
The successful candidate will:
- have sufficient background of scientific/technical knowledge to support teachers in delivering the Science curriculum
- have administrative skills to support the requirements of the Science department in terms of ordering supplies etc.
- be motivated, innovative and committed to provide comprehensive and effective support to the Science Department
- be reliable and able to forward plan
- maintain all Science equipment in a good/safe working order, organising repairs as necessary
- co-ordinate the use of practical resources, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the Science department
- advise on Health & Safety Risk Assessments

Pewsey Vale School is a small mixed 11-16 comprehensive school catering for students from widely varied backgrounds in the village of Pewsey in the Pewsey Vale of Wiltshire. Pewsey Vale School is currently in the process of joining Acorn Education Trust and view this as an exciting opportunity.
The Pewsey Vale grounds are shared with a leisure centre and primary school. The village of Pewsey is known for its statue of Alfred the Great and its annual carnival. It also has convenient road and rail access to London.
