Maidenhill School is a mixed, foundation secondary school for children aged 11-16 in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. It is a small school with around 555 pupils on roll.

Maidenhill School opened in 1957. In 2012 it began a £3.8m refurbishment programme, which brought about a major transformation both inside and outside. The old 1950s classrooms were revamped, a new Learning Resource Centre added and attractive spaces for students to socialise provided.

Today’s school also boasts a modern sports hall, fitness and dance suites and a performing arts studio.

Tutor groups are mixed age, a system designed to promote a caring environment where younger and older students help and support each other. Students spend 20 minutes per day with their tutor and tutor group on a range of activities, including literacy and numeracy activities. Mentoring is a key tutor group activity which aims to support and challenge all students.
