Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a full time Secondary (KS3 & 4) ICT Teacher to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local SEND school for Secondary students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. This will be a temporary position on an ongoing basis to begin as soon as possible. 

This is a large SEND Academy which has an excellent reputation in supporting complex young people who require a high level of patience, commitment and empathy. The behaviour and attitude of the children can often be challenging so consistent experience in behaviour management and an engaging approach is essential.

The desired Secondary ICT Teacher will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners who put the children at the heart of everything they do. The desired Teacher must have experience of teaching general ICT / Computer Science and be comfortable leading classes in both at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level. 

To be considered for the position of Secondary ICT Teacher (SEND / SEMH) you must:

  • Have experience teaching ICT  at KS3 and 4 level either in a main stream or SEND setting.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of practitioners who all pull together to      inspire in what is a challenging environment.
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
