TLC Private School is a non-selective and coeducational school that is seeking a passionate and driven educator for the post of Teacher of Mathematics, delivering the English National Curriculum subject of Maths to KS3 & KS4 students. The post will commence in September 2024.

The successful candidate must:

  • have the right to work in the EU
  • hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, additional degrees would be considered an advantage.
  • possess experience in teaching the English National Curriculum, specifically Edexcel at GCSE level.
  • hold a teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, PGCE).
  • have evidence of achieving outstanding results at KS3 and GCSE level.
  • bring a dynamic and creative approach to teaching.
  • be familiar with technology use in teaching and learning. 
  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • have experience in an international school setting.
  • be expected to provide evidence of a clear criminal record.


 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the secondary Maths curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject/s that you teach.
  • Conducting engaging and interactive Maths lessons.
  • Be responsible for the preparation, development and delivery of teaching materials and teaching programmes as appropriate
  • Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, their prior knowledge and plan teaching and differentiate appropriately to build on these, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn.
  • Monitoring and managing student behaviour to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Take part in all continuous professional development provided by the school, both internally and externally.
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider community and ethos of the school.
  • Communicate effectively with parents with regard to students’ achievements and well-being through the use of reports, parent meetings, oral feedback etc.
