Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a full time Secondary / Post 16 Motor Vehicle Tutor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local SEND school for Secondary students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. This will be a long term, full time, and temporary position on an ongoing basis to begin in September  

This is a large SEND Academy which has an excellent reputation in supporting complex young people who require a high level of patience, commitment and empathy. The behaviour and attitude of the children can often be challenging so consistent experience in behaviour management and an engaging approach is essential.

The desired Secondary / Post 16 Motor Vehicle Tutor will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners who put the children at the heart of everything they do. The desired Teacher must have experience of teaching Motor Vehicle maintenance and repair and be comfortable leading classes in both at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 level and Further Education. 

To be considered for the position of Secondary / Post 16 Motor Vehicle Tutor you must:

  • Have experience teaching Motor Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Be a qualified Teacher ideally with QTS or QTLS.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of practitioners who all pull together to inspire in what is a challenging environment.
  • Have a passion for teaching  with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
