Swans International School would like to appoint a Secondary School Librarian, with responsibility for international university applications, from September 2023. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of:

  • Running a busy whole school library
  • Assisting with the IB Extended Essay process
  • Supporting Sixth Form students in worldwide university applications, including writing references and helping with personal statements


We are looking for a dynamic candidate to support departments across the school in areas such as researching, referencing and academic honesty. The role will also involve the day-to-day running of the Accelerated Reader programme, as well as enthusiastically supporting, encouraging and advising students in their independent reading. 

We are looking for a team player to bring their own ideas and experience to our library, and also to work with the Sixth Form Leadership Team, ideally delivering a program of IB Workshop lessons and supporting our students in applications to universities around the world.

The school is well-resourced, with small class sizes, and all staff members are given a Macbook to work on, with all classrooms set up with Apple TVs.

Requirements:

EU passport or Spanish residency (UK candidates may also apply)

A minimum of 2 years of experience

A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check

A full 5 year reference check
