The Canadian School of Florence is a co-educational private international school for children aged 3 to 18 years. The school opened its first campus in Florence in 2017 with the Senior School, followed in 2021 by the Preschool and Elementary School, and lastly followed by the Middle School in 2022.

The school follows the Canadian Ontario curriculum and hosts a unique mix of international students and local Italian students. Small class size strengthens the inclusive approach to education, allowing each student to develop their sense of excellence, trust, integrity, fairness, and compassion.

The Preschool (Pre-Kindergarten, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten) and Elementary (Grades 1-5) campus is located in Fiesole, less than 2km from the Florence campus. Its experiential learning program is based on the best curriculum from Canada (Ontario), with preparation, in Italian, for the Italian programme (scuola paritaria), and the use of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Jolly Phonics in the Preschool.

The Middle School is located in a beautiful, private villa in the foothills of Fiesole only 1000 meters from the Elementary campus. It boasts a large outdoor garden and a brand new sports pitch. The curriculum here focuses on STEM subjects, experiential learning opportunities and group work.

The Senior School is hosted in a historical building in Florence, and currently hosts more than 100 students from Grade 9 to Grade 12, preparing them for admission to prestigious universities all over the world.

The Canadian School of Florence provides an inclusive learning environment, with teachers and support staff who engage with students on both academic and emotional levels. Teachers provide personalized teaching and individual care together with empathetic engagement, hands-on experiential teaching that enables curiosity, creativity, and innovative thinking.

Students enjoy engaging field trips, excursions and extra-curricular activities to enhance what is taught in class.

The Canadian School of Florence belongs to Globeducate, one of the world’s leading premium K12 education organisations, with more than 55 schools located in Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Canada, Andorra, Cyprus, and India. A fundamental aim of Globeducate is preparing each student to shape the world and to understand their place in it as a global citizen.
