Job overview

Secondary School Principal

Campus des Nations

International School of Geneva

The International School of Geneva (Ecolint) has a proud history as the world’s first international school and the birthplace of the International Baccalaureate (IB). With 4,500 students, state-of-the-art facilities, three impressive campuses, and a richly diverse student body, Ecolint offers a challenging academic and co-curricular programme, and an intense focus on preparing young people for their futures in an interconnected and global community.

Opened in 2005, Campus des Nations is the newest of Ecolint’s three campuses and educates 1,000 students, ages 3 to 18, from over 100 nations. The Campus is comprised of three schools (Secondary, Primary, and Early Years) and is spread across two sites which are a short distance apart and both in the heart of Geneva’s international quarter. Campus des Nations is proud to be an IB World School, and the only campus which offers all four IB programmes in a wholly integrated educational experience.

The International School of Geneva is now seeking a Secondary School Principal for the Campus des Nations. With 500 students from Years 7 to 13, the Secondary School is large and complex, and requires a leader who is both a strong and experienced people manager, and an outstanding collaborator and communicator. The Principal has overall responsibility for all facets – academic and administrative – of the Secondary School. In addition, the Principal is a key member of the senior leadership team that provides strategic direction to the International School of Geneva as a whole.

The new Secondary School Principal will be an experienced educational leader with strong management and administrative skills, ideally earned in a variety of educational contexts. The ideal candidates will bring a global perspective to their thinking and approach, a vision for education and where it is going, a deep and natural connection to students and the ability to inspire a community in pursuit of common goals.
