We are seeking a Secretary/Administration officer to assist parents and undertake a diverse range of administration tasks within our busy school office. You will work as part of a collaborative team providing services to parents, students, school staff and the wider school community.
Duties include:
• telephone and email management;
• administration of filing and online management systems (eMinerva);
• welcoming guests and responding to visitor enquiries in a warm, professional, and efficient manner;
• assisting School Leadership with various administration tasks including diary management Newsletter, website and parent portal;
• assisting with organisation of school events and activities;
• management of mail/deliveries and courier coordination;
• creating weekly school newsletters; and
• first aid duties (First Aid certificate required).
You will have at least three years administration experience in a school environment; strong Microsoft Office and digital skills, display proven communication and interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and take direction
• Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve and resolve customer concerns
• Ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially with stakeholders in a skilful manner
• Knowledge of Visitor and Volunteer procedures
• Ability to prioritise competing demands, be flexible, learn new systems and share knowledge and skills with others.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 29.5 hrs per week Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm Tuesday
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 3 - $29.77 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
As from 23 January 2022 all BCE Schools will be an environment where all employees are fully COVID vaccinated as directed by the Queensland Chief Health Officer.
