Job overview

Our successful Business School offers a range of programmes including vocational BTEC programmes in Business, primarily Level 1 – 3, and also a portfolio of Finance, Commercial and Professional Management qualifications.   


Reporting to the Head of School for Business, as Section Manager you would provide leadership for a team of Lecturers, manage study programmes, develop provision across the Section and teach across a range of programmes according to your specialism.  You would also continue to increase and develop our links with employers, which are integral to successful student work placements, course enrichment and Substantive Industry Placements (SIPs) for the forthcoming T Level courses.  The exact remit will be tailored to the successful applicant’s skill set and experience.


You will need to possess a relevant degree or equivalent level professional qualification and a teaching qualification (PGCE/DET or equivalent), and have at least three years’ successful teaching experience, preferably in Further Education, including leading/supervising others.  You will also have some curriculum co-ordination and development experience, a good understanding of quality assurance and experience of improving teaching, learning and assessment.
