Job overview

We are looking for someone to provide pupils with high quality Learning Enhancement responsive to their individual needs. The tutor will report to, and provide support for, the SENCO.

The successful candidate will raise the profile of Learning Enhancement throughout the College and to liaise closely with other academic departments in order to support cross-curricular teaching to Learning Enhancement students.

This additional Learning Enhancement teaching post has arisen following a recent audit of current provision at Malvern College. The role would be for approximately 10-15 (x 55 minute) lessons per week, with flexibility in terms of days/times, as all lessons provided are arranged within a pupil’s timetable, wherever possible. The exact number of weekly lessons will vary and may rise from a low base towards the maximum possible level of 20ppw as the academic year progresses.

The successful applicant will have QTS, and experience of teaching/would be comfortable in supporting pupils with SEN profiles at both GCSE (Maths and sciences) and A level/IB (Business, Economics, Chemistry and Biology). The appointment will be from 1 September 2021, though could commence in November or December if the successful applicant is not available until that time. It will be a temporary appointment until the end of the Summer Term 2022.
