SEN Support Worker
Level 1a point 8-10 (please note JD is currently being evaluated)
Swavesey Village College are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated SEN Support Workers from September 2018, to provide support to our forward thinking SEND department, on a fixed-term contract (to 31st August 2019 initially). We require 4 posts, 2 of whom must be female. The successful candidates will be joining an experienced and highly committed Special Educational Needs team providing support to students who may have cognition & learning, social, emotional and mental health, communication and interaction or physical/ sensory needs including medical/personal care.

Swavesey Village College is a popular and over-subscribed 11-16 school in a beautiful and easy-to-access part of Cambridgeshire (close to the A14 and guided bus route). We have a strong record of academic achievement and our ethos of mutual respect, hard work and attention to excellence is well-known in the area.
Good levels of numeracy and literacy (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT skills are required. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed. This is a fixed-term, term time position, working Monday to Friday 8:45-3.15 (27.5 per week) plus 5 training days. Level 1a point 8-10 actual salary £11,979 - £12,150. Applications for part-time hours will be considered.
