We are currently looking for an outstanding Special Educational Needs Teacher for a school located in Derby. This school caters for students with MLD, ASD and behavioral difficulties who are 7 to 18 years of age. You will be joining a strong team of outstanding staff who have a long history of achieving the best out of their students and are passionate about making a real difference to the learning of students. 

We are ideally looking for someone that has previously worked within an SEN environment and is confident in their ability to teach lower ability students. You will be working with small class sizes and be supported by a high number of experienced Teaching Assistants. 

The Ideal candidate – 

• Will have QTS

• Highly creative in a classroom setting 

• Knowledge within the education sector 

• Passion for supporting the learning of children 

• In date DBS & on the Update Service 

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
