Job overview

Our Place Schools Ltd is a residential school for young people, aged 8-19, with severe learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Condition, medical and behavioural needs. We are looking for a qualified Teacher ideally with primary and SEN experience to join our small, friendly team.

You will plan, prepare and deliver lessons, incorporating relevant and stimulating learning activities and targets for the young people to work towards. Supporting the school staff team to evaluating performance, development and inspire both colleagues and pupils. Part of this role requires preparation of reports and attending statutory annual reviews or other related meetings, such as Looked After Child (LAC) reviews, Statement reviews and Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan reviews. You will have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour whilst promoting inclusion and independence.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, creative, positive and have experience within an SEN setting preferably with knowledge of Autistic Spectrum Condition, plus other learning disabilities. It is essential that you have QTS.

Working in a beautiful rural setting just 5 minutes from Malvern and close to the A44. We have free parking on site and subsided lunches.
