27.5, term time only, 8.45am - 2.45pm, Monday to Friday - One year fixed term contract

We now are now looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant - Level 2 to provide one to one care for an affectionate and bright boy in Year 6, working in partnership with the class teacher and undertaking work, care and support programmes which enables access to learning.  The role will involve providing some physical care.

In addition, the postholder will work more generally in the class, under the direction of the teacher, working with individuals or small group to enable them to access learning.  In addition to experience of working with children with special needs, KS2 experience would also be an advantage.

We are looking for people with experience of working with children in a supportive capacity who have a good knowledge of child development and strategies which promote positive behaviour and effective attitudes to learning. You will take appropriate action to meet pupil’s needs as they arise and understand the factors that impact upon children's emotional needs and mental health.
