Smart Teachers is recruiting for an SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Educational Needs TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a secondary SEN school based in West London. The school caters for students with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The successful SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Educational Needs TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant is to start ASAP on a temporary basis until July 2018, with a possibility of extending into the new academic year.

  • Will be supporting secondary students with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH)
  • Daily rate starting from £70 depending on experience

  • Caters for children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH)

In order to be considered for this role, the SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Educational Needs TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have recent classroom experience in the UK (minimum 6 weeks essential)
  • Previous experience with SEN, ASD, MLD, SLD or PMLD 
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Have excellent communication skills as well as strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
