Morning-Only 

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

The Role 

This is a part-time, morning only position starting immediately. The successful candidate will be working on a one-to-one basis with a child in Year 1 who has been diagnosed with autism. The needs of the child vary but the school would like someone to focus on academic attainment and social development. 

The school 

This is a large, two-form entry primary school based in the heart of South Liverpool. Due to the schools locality, the demographic is very high in terms of the EAL population. They have been praised recently by Ofsted for their ability to make a comfortable transition from remote learning back into the classroom safely and efficiently. 

Requirements 

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant  position, you will: 

  • Hold a level two or three teaching assistant qualification or similar
  • Have experience supporting in KS1, preferably supporting children with additional needs
  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate, particularly in the area of phonics
  • Have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
  • Have experience working in mainstream British Schools and be able to demonstrate teaching excellence.
