SEN Teaching Assistant
Highly skilled, innovative and skilled SEN teaching assistant needed to work with children with SEND needs across the school
We are looking for an outstanding SEN Learning Assistant to provide 1:1 support to aid a pupil at our school to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and individually, inside and outside of the classroom.
The successful candidate will work alongside and support the teacher and make effective use of resources in order to achieve the highest standards of learning and achievement for all children.
Your role will also be to support the school improvement plan led by the Headteacher, whilst promoting the well-being of staff and children in the school.

Hours: 17.75 hours per week (5 mornings) starting at 8.30am term-time only
Salary: SP3 £15,308 - £17,316- pro rata to £6,434 - £7,278

The ideal candidate will be able to:
• Assist in preparing the classroom, receiving children and clearing away
• Assist in planning activities and preparing materials to help the children access the curriculum
• Lead and support class, group and individual activities, indoors and outdoors, including during teachers PPA time
• Assist in monitoring children's progress, assessing achievement and recording results and observations, sharing outcomes with the class teacher
Secure skills in English, Maths and IT are essential. Previous experience of working with children and young people would be an advantage.
