Balaam Wood is a smaller than average 11-16 maintained secondary school serving the community of Frankley. Balaam Wood is seen as the “anchor of the community” and there is a growing confidence in the school’s ability to provide an outstanding educational experience for the young people we serve. This is resulting in increased pupil numbers.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SENCO to join our team at Balaam Wood School. The post requires vision and oversight of all of our SEND provision with the successful candidate responsible for monitoring and evaluating our effectiveness in meeting specificity of need.

You will be able to see the potential of our learners and adapt your teaching and learning to allow them to flourish in a calm and nurturing environment. You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching team devoted to making a difference to our learners’ outcomes in your own lessons and supporting the development of others’.
