Lightcliffe Academy is looking for a dedicated, proactive and enthusiastic colleague to lead and coordinate our provision for SEND students, raising student attainment and aspiration daily.  This is an exciting time for Lightcliffe Academy as it moves into the next phase of its improvement and the successful candidate will be an important part of our leadership team making a key contribution to this continuing journey.  Candidates who have the motivation to work with a vibrant team and happy, positive students, in a supportive and rapidly evolving environment, are encouraged to apply. 

We are looking for a dedicated individual who can:

• Encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential

• Inspire colleagues and students – sharing best practice

• Develop positive relationships with children, families and colleagues 

• Work as part of a team to improve organisation and effectiveness

• Support the ethos and aims of the academy

You will be:

• Knowledgeable about SEND and experienced in planning and evaluating SEND provision and interventions

• A proven classroom practitioner with an up-to-date knowledge of developments in education

• Someone who will support the Trust's Christian ethos as well as our shared mission and values

Lightcliffe Academy is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational secondary school located in Halifax, West Yorkshire. It is part of the Abbey Multi Academy Trust, which was established in 2014, and is led by its vision 'to work in partnership, to educate, nurture and empower’.
