The governors of Essendine Primary School seek to appoint for September 2021, an inspirational and experienced qualified Teacher as SENCO.
Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of pupils with SEND?
If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with the senior leadership of the school to ensure that barriers are overcome and all pupils achieve their best. We were graded as good in November 2017 and are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic practitioner to help us on our journey to outstanding.
You will be required to lead on the provision for students with special educational and additional needs, providing professional support for all staff in school.
You will:
- Ensure that the school is compliant with the Code of Practice
- Be an expert in SEN provision, with the ability to advise teachers on teaching and learning strategies
- Organise and monitor interventions
- Lead and manage an team of LSAs
- Liaise with, and report to, the SLT on SEN provision
- Report to governors on a termly basis

The successful candidate will have:
- QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree
- The SENCo qualification
- Experience of working with children with SEN

In September 2022, Essendine Primary School federated with Hallfield Primary School to form the North Westminster Federation.
